With a lifelong love of art, I enrolled in a career prep art program at a high school in Victoria, BC where I was supported by amazing teachers who encouraged me to utilize whichever mediums I liked best for creating pieces. I focused on my love of makeup art and photography, and ended up having many people photograph the makeup work I did on myself and others.
By the age of 14 I was recruited by my first talent agency, which went out of business shortly after failing to pay me for background performing work. They passed their roster on to yet another talent agency which went out of business as well. I ended up being passed around among so many agencies that, frustrated, I ended up representing myself and managing to get myself more work than all of the agents combined.
With a decade of experience now in freelance makeup artistry and modeling as well as a few years of creative directing and model support I have seen behind the scenes of the fashion industry, and this is what motivated me to launch the ModelSafetyNet.com.
